Weichert Announces New Leadership for Weichert.com

Denise Smith, president of affiliated services and senior vice president of administration for the Weichert Companies, is pleased to announce a new leadership team for Weichert.com, the company’s award-winning website. 

Weichert.com, one of the most visited real estate websites in the nation, will be co-managed by Steve Lazarus, senior vice president of marketing and lead generation, and John Currie, senior vice president of customer experience and sales. Lazarus and Currie both joined Weichert in the latter half of 2017 and bring considerable experience and talent in their respective areas to their new roles. 

“I am excited to welcome Steve and John to the Weichert.com team and to work with both of them as they bring new insights and experiences to our website, lead generation and call center operations,” said Smith. “Our consumer website is a centerpiece of our organization, and I have full confidence that they will do a tremendous job overseeing Weichert.com and enhancing the online experience for homebuyers and sellers.” 

Lazarus joins Weichert with extensive digital marketing experience working at New York & Company, The Children’s Place and Toys “R” Us. He also worked at IBM in a social media and interactive marketing strategy role. Lazarus earned a degree from The State University of New York at Farmingdale and also studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and St. John’s University. 

Prior to joining Weichert, Currie worked at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. He has a strong background in call center operations and marketing and sales strategy. Currie earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.
