Thomas Semler Named SVP, Sales Development Manager of Weichert Commercial Brokerage

James Sousa, president of Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc., is pleased to announce that Thomas Semler has been named senior vice president. In addition, Semler will also serve as the company’s sales development manager with responsibility for the professional development of Weichert Commercial Brokerage’s sales associates.

Semler has more than 40 years of commercial real estate experience, specializing in the representation of clients in the acquisition and disposition of corporate facilities, tenant representation, agency leasing and sales, portfolio management and lease restructuring. Most recently, he was senior vice president at Avison Young. Prior to that, Semler was principal at Cresa New Jersey and spent almost 20 years at Cushman & Wakefield. Over the course of his career, Semler has acted on behalf of his clients in leases and sales totaling more than 4 million square feet.

A 30-year resident of Morris County, N.J., Semler graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. Active in his community and the industry, Semler is a member of the Georgetown University Real Estate Alliance and the Morris County Economic Development Corporation. He also is a board member and treasurer of the Morris County Park Alliance and volunteers with Homeless Solutions Inc.
