Weichert Sales Associate Named to REALTOR Magazine's 30 Under 30 Class Of 2015

Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc., the franchise division of Weichert, Realtors®, announced that Associate Broker Lawrence Wong from WEICHERT, REALTORS® – The Franzese Group in Brooklyn has been named to REALTOR® Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Class of 2015.

 

“The outpouring of support is better than I ever expected, and I’m honored to be part of such an elite class of real estate professionals,” said Wong. “Everyone thought I was crazy to get into the real estate business six years ago during the recession. Weichert provided so much support — from my office management to the tools, training and leads. It took some hard work, but being able to successfully help clients in an area where I was born and raised has been incredibly rewarding.”

 

Each year REALTOR Magazine features 30 rising young stars in the real estate industry. It is an extensive process, requiring multiple essays and video submissions from its candidates. The REALTOR Magazine staff sorts through thousands of applications from candidates all over the world who are not only successful in the real estate business, but who have also demonstrated skill, creativity and leadership throughout their careers.

 

Since joining Weichert in 2009, Wong has quickly gained a strong knowledge of the intricacies of working with both homebuyers and sellers. In 2014, he closed over 40 units representing more than $30 million in sales volume. His sales skills have earned him numerous accolades including the 2014 Chairman’s Club Award, for which only 0.15 percent of Weichert-affiliated agents qualified. He has also been part of the Weichert President’s Club for the past four years and won the 2010 Rookie of the Year Award. Wong earned his bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from New York City College of Technology (CUNY). Prior to his career in real estate, he worked as an Implementation Specialist for a computer software company.
