John Mahoney Named President of Weichert Insurance Agency

Steve Adamo, president of Weichert Financial Services, is pleased to announce that John Mahoney, an accomplished senior executive with extensive experience in the personal lines insurance industry, has been named president of Weichert Insurance Agency.

Mahoney joins Weichert Insurance Agency from GMAC Insurance, where he managed a $386 million personal lines book of business for the company’s affinity marketing group in his role as vice president of national accounts. Earlier in his career, Mahoney spent time with Prime Sales Solutions and 25 years with Liberty Mutual as zone vice president and manager of field operations. At Liberty Mutual, he directed the sales, service and administration of 1,300 employees covering 16 states, and also held various other positions within the company, including regional sales manager and director of sales and marketing.

A resident of Denville, N.J., Mahoney graduated from the College of William & Mary and earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Delaware. Mahoney is a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and also coaches youth basketball.
