Weichert Relocation Resources Completes Rigorous Audit to Achieve Compliance With SSAE 16 Standards

Weichert Relocation Resources Inc. (WRRI), one of the world’s leading relocation and assignment management companies, announced that it has successfully completed its Service Organization Control (SOC) 1, Type II examination in accordance with the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16.

During this examination, the internal controls in place at WRRI which support the services it provides to customers in the areas of home sale and expense management were rigorously evaluated by independent auditors from J.H. Cohn LLP, one of the leading accounting and consulting firms in the United States. The auditors’ report confirms that WRRI’s controls meet or exceed the strictest international requirements and are operating effectively.

SSAE 16 is a new reporting standard for service organizations developed by the Auditing Standards Board (ASB) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. It replaces the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) reports previously obtained by WRRI and provides globally-recognized guidelines for companies to assess the integrity and effectiveness of their provider’s internal controls and processes.
