Weichert Relocation Resources Announces Winners of 2010 Best Practice Leadership Awards

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. —Weichert Relocation Resources Inc. (WRRI), one of the world’s leading providers of relocation and assignment management solutions, announced the winners of its 2010 Next Practice Leadership Awards during the company’s annual Client Strategy Summit in Boca Raton, Florida.

 

These awards were established to honor select organizations and corporate relocation professionals for excellence in advancing mobile workforce management through innovation, leadership and strategic use of WRRI’s Next Practices?, which represent the next generation of relocation and assignment solutions.

The 2010 class of winners included the following companies:

§         H.J. Heinz, recognized for its collaborative role in developing and adopting WRRI’s pre-decision program, which helps employers gauge the probable success of a relocation before any financial investment is made.

§         Fidelity Investments, honored for piloting WRRI’s Global Payroll Workbench, providing valuable feedback and insights for enhancements, and ensuring a better international compensation reporting solution for all WRRI clients.

§         Alcoa, awarded for partnering with WRRI to refine and simplify a complex global mobility program featuring 13 kinds of authorization forms, 2 payroll systems and 14 policies in less than 90 days.

§         BP, lauded for its groundbreaking “Supplier Intelligence Report,” which offers a next-generation process for monitoring the ongoing performance and financial health of its suppliers. The company also partnered with WRRI to ensure that its monitoring process for relocation-related functions was focused on the most important drivers.

§         US Foodservice, cited for achieving outstanding results using WRRI’s Real Estate Next Practices to enhance and improve its Buyer Value Option and Guaranteed Buyout programs.

§         Glaxo Smith Kline, recognized for innovation in employing several of WRRI’s portfolio management Next Practices to achieve significant reductions in inventory and higher amended value rates.

§         Corporate United was honored for its innovative approach to group purchasing, and for working with WRRI to build synergy with procurement professionals and educate them about the unique nuances of purchasing workforce mobility services.

WRRI also presented two employees with Next Practices Leadership Awards. Stewart McCardle and Ross Bailey were recognized for their work in leading the development, testing and implementation of WRRI’s Global Payroll Workbench, which strengthened the company’s tax and compensation capabilities while offering the company’s clients a unique global payment reporting solution.
