Enhanced Features Make Searching for Home Easier Than Ever on Weichert.com

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. – Weichert, Realtors® recently added several new features to weichert.com to provide an improved online experience for home buyers.  Weichert’s Web site, which is home to more than 2 million listings, now offers increased search functionality, more property information and greater ease-of-use.

“The majority of homebuyers today are turning to the Internet when starting a potential homes search.  Far and away, the most important things they are looking for from their Web site of choice is quick and easy access to listings and detailed property information,” said Mike Montsko, president of the Weichert Lead Network. “Our latest enhancements to Weichert.com ensure we are giving our visitors exactly that.”

A number of enhancements have also been made to provide more information and photos to site visitors in the search results pages.  The photo gallery includes larger photos of the properties that match search results.  Users can also choose to see their results plotted out on a map.  Search results now include icons to help buyers indentify new construction, homes that have been price improved and properties with virtual tours. The ability to sort by price has also been added to the search results page.

In addition to providing results in a map format, Weichert.com now allows visitors the option to search using an interactive map. Visitors can drag and click through a map plotted with available listings. If the prospective buyer sees a home or street that catches their eye, Weichert.com allows them to take a “virtual” street level view of the community. Through Google Streets, homebuyers can maneuver through 360 degree horizontal and 290 degree vertical panoramic street level views to get a feel for the neighborhood.

When buyers find a property, they will see more information conveniently arranged thanks to a new listing page layout. Each listing page includes a new photo carousel, a photo gallery tab, as well as an area information tab that provides school reports and demographic information.  The street address for each property is also now included.
