Weichert Relocation Resources Bolsters Canadian Global Mobility Expertise with Latest Appointments

11/15/2007

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. - In response to significant new business growth, Weichert Relocation Resources Inc. (WRRI), one of Canada’s leading relocation, cross-border and assignment management companies, announced that it has deepened its Canadian-based global workforce mobility expertise with the addition of three new colleagues: Peter Cloutier, Client Service Manager; Susan Ghavam, Senior Assignment Counselor; and Susan Salim, Senior Assignment Counselor.

These colleagues join Assignment Counselor Tamara Dykes in WRRI’s Toronto office to form an in-house global mobility team with over 50 years of combined assignment management, international HR, immigration, tax compliance and compensation experience.

“As our client roster continues to expand and the needs of globally relocating employees become more complex, our in-house subject matter expertise, in all areas of global mobility, is even more critical to our success,” said Mike LeQuier, WRRI’s Regional Vice President, Canada. “Augmenting our already strong Toronto-based team with this new talent provides us with a powerful combination of fresh industry perspectives and proven experience that will enhance our reputation as the leader in assignment management and expatriate administration.”

Peter Cloutier has over 10 years of assignment management experience, having previously worked in the International Assignment Services division of Deloitte & Touche. He has worked extensively in tax compliance consulting for global assignees, and has served as a key advisor to multinational corporations concerning development and administration of global tax, payroll and tax equalization policies.

Susan Ghavam previously served for seven years as a global mobility specialist with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Toronto and the UK. She also has experience in managing candidate selection, pre-move preparation and cross-cultural training.

Susan Salim has over 20 years of experience with CIBC/EDS, where she focused on global payroll, mortgages and compensation. Her expertise also encompasses immigration, tax compliance and balance sheet calculation.

Tamara Dykes has nine years of global mobility management experience, having previously served as Senior Consultant with KMPG and Arthur Andersen in Toronto, where she focused on immigration law compliance.

“In addition to their wealth of knowledge in all areas of global workforce mobility, these employees bring a strong track record for innovation and a passion for turning customers into Raving Fans,” said LeQuier. “I’m confident that they will help us build upon our truly remarkable momentum in the Canadian marketplace.”
