MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. – Two women from the Weichert Family of Companies were among the seven New Jersey honorees at the annual Legislative Awards Reception of the Displaced Homemakers Network of New Jersey held recently at the State House in Trenton.

Lorene Rowe, a sales associate with Weichert, Realtors’ Rockaway/Denville Office, and Audrey Verona from Weichert Real Estate School were awarded plaques for their generous support of the Women’s Center at the County College of Morris.   The two women were instrumental in coordinating the Weichert Family of Companies’ charitable activities during the 2006 holiday season, which included donating toys, clothing, and food to more than 100 deserving families in Morris County.

Acknowledging the pair’s accomplishments, James M. Weichert, president, said, “Through their tireless efforts and deeply felt commitment, Lorene and Audrey exemplify our company’s ongoing mission to give back to the community.  We’ve very proud to have them on our team.”

The Women’s Center offers job-readiness skills and a host of programs and support groups to women who have lost the support of their spouse through death, divorce, separation, or disability.
