MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. – Weichert Relocation Resources Inc., one of the world’s leading relocation and assignment management companies, announced that Jim Schneider, Senior Vice President, has been named to the 2007 Board of Directors for Worldwide ERC®, the premier membership association for professionals who manage or service a mobile workforce. In this prestigious capacity, Schneider will join some of the relocation industry’s most respected advocates and thought leaders.

Schneider has been active in Worldwide ERC since the start of his relocation career over twenty years ago. In 1991, he earned ERC’s Meritorious Service Award, one of the industry’s highest honors. He was also named to ERC’s Industry Advisory Council in 2002 and 2003.

“This appointment reflects Jim’s numerous and long-standing contributions to ERC and to the workforce mobility industry,” said Brad Charnas, SRA, SCRP, GMS, 2006 President of Worldwide ERC. “He has served with great effectiveness on ERC committees in the past. As a thought leader and a compelling speaker on the future of workforce mobility, his input will be valuable to helping us shape a comprehensive vision of the future of our organization.”

“This is a tremendous honor for me and for Weichert Relocation Resources,” said Schneider. “Worldwide ERC has built an impressive legacy of driving the evolution and vitality of our industry, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to play a role in its initiatives.”

Worldwide ERC board member responsibilities include addressing association policy, bylaws, and ethics issues; reviewing the Council’s activities, events, and budget; assisting in the planning and development of ERC educational programs and publications; and contributing to and fulfilling the organization’s strategic plan for stability, growth, industry relevance, and the greater good of the entire ERC membership.
