Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. Opens First Franchise Offices in California

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. – A two-office real estate agency in California’s Central Valley has become the first franchisee of Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. in the Golden State. Genaro Pulido is the owner.
WEICHERT, REALTORS® – Valley Associates, with offices at 3106 Geer Road in Turlock and 3641 Mitchell Road, Suite F, in Ceres, joins a rapidly growing roster that now includes more than 265 signed offices in 23 states.
The franchise arm of Weichert, Realtors®, Weichert Real Estate Affiliates launched its first independently owned and operated office in January 2002. It was the only real estate organization to be named in the Top Ten New Franchises 2005 by Entrepreneur magazine and also was on the magazine’s 2005 list of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Franchises.
In choosing to join the Weichert organization, John Wilson, the company’s broker of record, said they had looked at a number of franchise opportunities, but found that “for the quality of service and the systems, there’s nothing that comes even close to Weichert.” Pulido said, “I never saw anything like it in the industry.”
Weichert Real Estate Affiliates President Martin J. Wilson, who comes from a real estate family, entered the field himself seven years ago. Pulido, also in real estate for seven years, has a marketing background. The two worked together at another agency before opening the Turlock and Ceres offices, which serve the Central Valley communities in and around Modesto, the Stanislaus County seat at the northern end of the San Joaquin Valley.
Pulido said that the company plans an ambitious recruiting program to add to its current 35-agent sales team.
