Weichert Relocation Resources Executives Recognized For Mobility Industry Leadership

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J. – Weichert Relocation Resources Inc. announced that four employees were recognized by the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council (ERC) for their dedicated service to the organization and significant professional contributions to the relocation industry.

Steve Jones, Senior Vice President, Global Supplier Solutions and General Counsel, received the President’s Award, ERC’s most prestigious honor, in recognition of his efforts leading to IRS Revenue Ruling 2005-74. The issuance of this ruling, which concerns the tax treatment of home sales using employer-provided relocation service programs, is considered a landmark event in the history of the relocation industry.

Aram Minnetian, President and CEO, received ERC’s Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes long-term commitment to the organization and to the betterment of the relocation industry. By earning a Distinguished Service Award, Minnetian has achieved Senior Certified Relocation Professional (SCRP) status, the relocation industry’s highest designation, placing him among a group of only 182 Worldwide ERC members to hold this distinction. 

 Ellie Sullivan, Director of Consulting, received her second Distinguished Service Award, recognizing more than 25 years of dedication to the organization and the mobility industry. Sullivan is among an elite group of relocation professionals who have received this commendation twice, and she has held the SCRP designation since her first Distinguished Service Award in 2000.

Doug Weed, Director of Supplier Networks, received ERC’s Meritorious Service Award, recognizing time and expertise dedicated to the organization. This award is granted to relocation professionals who have contributed to ERC through speaking engagements, contributing articles to ERC’s MOBILITY magazine and serving on committees or in an advisory capacity.
